Counsel to the Firm

Danielle Gaier graduated from Columbia University, magna cum laude, where she majored in Art History, and the University of Michigan Law School, cum laude, where she served as a Contributing Editor of the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review and the President of the Entertainment, Media and Arts Law Students’ Association. After graduating from law school, she was an Intellectual Property Transactions Associate in the Corporate Department of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP.  After Paul, Weiss, Ms. Gaier moved in-house at Major League Baseball, where she focused on intellectual property licensing, sponsorship, content production, brand and trademark protection and digital advertising. At Danziger, Danziger & Muro, LLP, Ms. Gaier focuses her practice on intellectual property and art law, including sales, loans and financings. She also advises a variety of clients on copyright and trademark licensing, talent agreements and general corporate matters. Before attending law school, Ms. Gaier served as a gallery director in New York City and interned at The Frick Collection.

Karen Hirshfield graduated from the University of Michigan in 1994 and New York University School of Law, cum laude, in 1997, where she was a staff editor on the Annual Survey of American Law. Karen has extensive experience representing both acquirers and targets in M&A transactions, as well as issuers in venture capital / private equity transactions. She also concentrates on advising private entities with respect to their day-to-day corporate and commercial matters, including corporate law issues, formation of entities, and commercial contracts. Prior to joining Danziger Danziger & Muro, LLP, Ms. Hirshfield was counsel at Lowenstein Sandler, PC in the Corporate Finance and Securities Group. From 2000 to 2004, she was an associate at Frankfurt, Kurnit, Klein & Selz, PC in the New Media Group specializing in private equity transactions, and from 1997 to 2000 she was an associate in the Corporate Group at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, LLP.

Glenn Schoenfeld received his BA, summa cum laude from the University of Baltimore in 1994 and his J.D. cum laude from Georgetown University Law Center in 1997. He was an associate in the corporate departments of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP from 1997 to 2005 and Paul, Hastings, Janofsky & Walker LLP from 2005 to 2009. Mr. Schoenfeld has a wide range of experience in mergers and acquisitions, both private and public, domestic and international. He has represented private equity funds, venture capital investors and start-up companies in their investment and capital raising efforts, and in the formation of joint ventures. He has provided general corporate advice to a variety of companies. He authored the article “Winning M&A Auctions” published November 24, 2008 in Investment Dealers Daily. Mr. Schoenfeld is a member of the board of directors of Metropolis Ensemble, a non-profit chamber orchestra based in New York and has served as legal advisor to Golden Children, Inc., a non-profit orphanage in Cambodia.
